Rak Teh

Rak Teh is a ministry of YWAM Thailand that exists to reach out relationally and incarnationally to our neighbours in the Sanam Luang area of old Bangkok.

God has called Rak Teh to this area to see the Kingdom of God established, especially in the lives of those neighbours who are homeless, those struggling with addiction, and the men and women involved in prostitution on our streets.

Jesus is leading us and showing us how to love those around us – He is opening our eyes to see each of our neighbours as a unique, precious, God-breathed creation. Our work is to see God’s glory made known on these streets – for truth to be made manifest through changed lives and healthy relationships, and for all of us neighbours to grow together in our experience of God’s transforming love.

Visiting the Homeless

ECB has been partnering with Rak Teh since 2009 by sending volunteers on a monthly basis to come and share food, conversation and good news with our neighbours.

Usually on the third Saturday of each month, a team of volunteers from ECB head out to the Sanam Luang area of the city to meet with and distribute food to many homeless people in the area. The team takes time to listen to these individuals and to offer prayer for those who will receive it.
