Welcome to the Business Fellowship (BF) at ECB!
BF is open to anyone attending ECB (and their colleagues/friends) who work in the corporate marketplace including entrepreneurs, businessmen/women, professionals, educators and those who work in governmental organizations (e.g. UN, embassies).
Mission and Vision
To educate, encourage and equip Christ-followers to be effective disciples in their business and marketplace through fellowship, education, mentorship and prayer.
Our fellowship verse is from Matthew 5:13-16:
Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
When do we meet?
We hold a dinner event once a month which takes various formats: panel discussions, speakers and/or workshops. The topics at these events address relevant and important issues for followers of Jesus in the marketplace.
Details of upcoming events are usually given in announcements during ECB services and in the BF Line group.

Leading Your Life and Work with Purpose

Leading Your Life and Work with Purpose
From Reflection to Direction in the Year Ahead
The start of a new year is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and choose direction. In this
interactive workshop, you are invited to reflect on your professional goals alongside your
spiritual life, personal growth, and relationships—seeing them as an integrated whole rather
than separate areas.
Through guided reflection and practical exercises, you will create a simple, usable planning resource you can return to throughout the year. This resource is designed to help you lead your professional development with intention, stay grounded in what matters most, and remain attentive to God’s presence and guidance in your everyday work and life.
Ruth Kappelgaard is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC, ACC) with a background
in management consulting and leadership development. Originally from Denmark and now
based in Bangkok, she supports professionals in their professional development by helping
them build self-awareness, find clarity under pressure, and lead themselves with confidence
and balance. Ruth combines analytical insight with practical coaching tools to support
sustainable growth in demanding work lives.
